April already?

It’s been a while since the last post. I hope I haven’t lost too many audience members. Alright, let’s get started:

  • No need to do mouth to mouth when administering CPR. The latest reports and research shows that chest compressions is enough to keep the remaining oxygen in the blood getting to the needed places - mainly the brain and heart. Taking time to do mouth to mouth increases the chance that not enough oxygen is getting around. There’s already plenty of oxygen in the blood for several minutes of circulation. And besides, the couple of breathes you would give to the victim is pretty pathetic anyways. This also takes away the icky feeling/hesitation a potential good samaritan would have to administer CPR.

I wish I had more, but that’s it for now. haha.
