A little bit of caution about Gmail

Privacy issues.

Because it advocates archiving of email, Gmail has been causing quite a stir amongst privacy organizations. Current laws say that email is no longer considered private communication after 180 days and can therefore be subpoenaed without needing a judicial warrant. This along with it’s computer scanning and indexing of your emails for targeted ads causes alarms for what they can do with the profile they build about you and how government agencies can force the information from them.
