I’ve now grown very fond of the Dove weightless moisturizing shampoo and conditioner that my mom lent me when she went across the ocean. (She’s not dead, just traveling, dork.) I think this is a better solution to the overpriced, but nice smelling Biolage stuff.
Speaking of, i need to remember to bring my own soap the next time i travel and stay at female friend’s places. i don’t think i’ve ever smelled that foofoo in my life. evar. plus it sucks trying to get a good lather going with body washes when you don’t have a loofah to use.
And from the nobody-really-cares-but-I’ll-still-mention-it department, I think my appetite is coming back after the bout of stomach illness I’ve had the past two days. yay!

I was watching a Restland commercial today and saw a dramatization of some guys funeral. Apparently in his will, wanted the casket procession to be done walking backward. I thought that was hillarious.
So I think I’ll put something similar and comical in my will — I think I’d like to be taken to the cemetery in a McLaren F1. Hrm, I guess I’ll have to be cremated to fit. Doh!

bq. The feeling of being hurried is not usually the result of living a full life and having no time. It is on the contrary born of a vague fear that we are wasting our life. When we do not do the one thing we ought to do, we have no time for anything else — we are the busiest people in the world.

A new version of Mozilla’s preview browser is out. It’s now renamed to Firefox instead of Firebird to avoid confusion w/ another project. Just wanted to add my redundant announcement to the ‘net. Thunderbird 0.5 is also out. Hopefully it has fixed the email notification.

Foreword: My other friend Bob told me not to get this. Apparently he didn’t speak loud enough. THANKS BOB! j/k.
This is the steering wheel by Logitech that was designed for Gran Turismo 4 on Sony’s Playstation 2. Dramatically redesigned (the previous wheel was the Driving Force — for GT3) with an all new 900 degrees of rotation equating to 2 1/2 turns lock to lock (compared to the usual 200 degrees), this wheel is supposed to revolutionize the current state of console/PC steering wheels. Unfortunately, it still sucks compared to just using the controller. My friend was using the wheel on the first S-class license exam (GT3) and never got within 1/2 a second of the bronze time. This was after trying for at least 4 hours. I get on with the controller and get the bronze within 3 trys. That really doesn’t say much I guess, however, it may speak to the low level programming within the wheel (or maybe how GT3 responds to the input from the wheel). The main faults are the delayed response of the vehicle to the steering input and the twitching of the car when held in a straight line. I feel that the force feedback is also not very appropriate. It doesn’t get stronger the more you turn the wheel (as you would expect), but it does a great job of kicking back at times where you wouldn’t expect.
I really hope that it’s something that’s strictly GT3 related and that GT4 will be much more realistic with the wheel — at least as responsive as with the controller. (It should be as GT3 is restricted to 200 degrees of turning — sorry I forgot to mention that earlier; GT4 is currently the only game that supports the full 900 degrees.) Otherwise this wheel is a POS. A hearty thumbs up the asses.

Another ethnic movie, much like Bend It Like Beckham. I enjoy movies when they can connect with the audience and this one did it. Showing the history of Calvin’s shop and how [forgot his name — the barber with free rent] first met with Calvin’s father and their relationship gave a glimpse into how their relationship developed and came to be. The scene where the community comes together to fight commercial takeover showed the reality of life and how a big business can bully people out of their livelihood just for that bottom line. The ending, however, is quite weak and shortchanged in my opinion, but overall that can be forgotten.
My eloquence at it’s best. lol.
