Let’s See How Things Are In Four Years

Seem’s like I was just getting used to writing ‘00 and now it’s ‘04 and I’m still making ’03’s on my checks. Phooey. I wonder what I’ll be like in another four years? Hope I’m not fat and lazy. I don’t want to continue down this path of jadedness. Perhaps my choices will be better thought out and more rewarding? Only time can tell, right?

How far have you come (or reverted) in the last four years? Where will you be in another four?

haha. hope this doesn’t sound too much like New Year’s Day.

$200 Crack

Got home last week right before we left for Austin and John points out steam coming from the front of the car. I knew the radiator was slowly leaking more coolant as the days got colder but didn’t expect it to have steam billowing out. Anyways, I get back and check the coolant level four days later and turns out the whole expansion tank is empty. Damn. So I bit the bullet and bought another radiator.

Weekend UP date

New obsession: Initial D - japanese drifting anime. it’s got a catchy soundtrack that I’ve suckered myself into buying off of ebay — 5 discs of techno/trance/poprock stuff.

Car: radiator neck cracked, new one on the way. currently sitting on the street :-(.

Guitar: renewed interest. got new strings for acoustic, new book. extended borrowing of will’s electric continues.

Future: waiting for summer to come. grad school? new job? new location? ain’t life grand when it’s uncertain? hrm. :-/

Time Marker

Brief Record Keeping Chores:

San Antonio - wet drive. lots of card games. beautiful saturday. good dim sum lunch (for the location)

San Marcos - good wind. pleasant phone convos with school buds. satisfying ice cream.

Austin - Interesting new people. Red wine is a quick way to getting tipsy. Food is always good.

Lately, well maybe as of the last hour, I’ve given though to -having- owning a hi-fi store instead. Love of music, love of toys, good combo. Just a thought…
