Had a short weekend trip south this weekend. Highlights:

• Watching Newlyweds and The Real World: San Diego at Lan’s place.
• Watching John succumb to alcohol poisoning after two Gin and Tonics.
• Eating dinner at a BBQ place (forgot the name) that was also a gas station.
• Playing pool at Steve and Aaron’s place. Playing with Captain, Steve’s dog.
• Watching parts of Batman 2? and Eraser.
• Driving around 6th street for an hour looking for parking. Witnessing Ruban’s exhaust scrap the ground multiple times.
• Partying at Zero°. Dancing with John. And Lan and her friend Teresa. etc. Feeling very old and strange seeing high school kids from home at same place, now in college.
• Waiting for cars to clear in parking garage and listening/feeling Steve’s car set off car alarms on the way down.
• Almost being rear ended by Ruban while in Steve’s car due to Steve slamming on brakes last minute to avoid collision.
• Visiting Shirley at her work place and experiencing “Austin drama” first hand — and boy is it true about the drama there.
• Driving across Austin to eat at Magnolia. Having the bus girl be a better waiter than the actual waiter. (Shoulda given her the tip instead, doh!)
• Shihab stealing the couch that I had called earlier in the evening (morning?). Listening to the peaceful breathing patterns of my allergic friends. (Was that a little creepy?)
• Playing GT3 in the morning (err, afternoon?) right after waking up.
• Eating Pho and drinking Thai Teas.
• Lastly, over-analysing everything, as usual.

Summary: I had a great time. *big grin*
