Woo Wooo!

I got this video (3.4MB) from Lynn. It’s hilarious. For those who don’t have bandwidth, here’s the rundown — people in LA have been getting mechanics to weld pieces of metal into their mufflers to make so called whistling mufflers (whistler tips). They can be heard from up to a mile away and are perfectly legal. Here’s a link to audio clips from the video. They cracked me up.

Congrats to the Spurs! Two more blocks and Tim Duncan would’ve had a quadruple double. I think I’ve found a new basketball role model.

Mini-Review, etc.

So Star Wars 2 was showing on HBO today. I still think the movie sucks. It flowed very poorly, the dialog very forced and rigid. It seem to just jump from scene to scene without much transition. George Lucas didn’t try hard enough. He probably spent all that time negotiating advertising rights with other companies. But I can’t argue about the picture quality. When John and I saw it opening night way back when, we were fortunate to be in a DLP equipped theatre. The images were stunning. Can’t wait to see Finding Nemo on it.

So that was the review part. Here’s the et cetera:

I got a kick out of this background from DDR:

I wonder how it would look on a real person. Maybe I’m the only one that thinks it’s cute. Or maybe it’s just her big anime eyes.

<laughs at self>

More on Happenings

So I saw a black Evo today. Right in front of the same apartment that I saw the STi a few days ago. Hrmmm. Maybe I should go and try to make some new friends ;-)
The rain was pourin’ like a waterfall. Traffic slowed to 25MPH on the way back from the airport. 10min later, the sun is out. I love the dynamics of weather. :-)
But I digress. Off to to do some studying and/or web coding.

Just Chillin’

Yup. That’s what I do almost everyday. I lead a very slow paced life right now. Probably toooooo sloooooow.

Found someone who had a lot of free time like me. Dremel + CD-Rom = Lots O’ Fun! (courtesy of Ars)

Ahem…back to me ;-)…Yah! The weekend is here!

Trigun

Yeah, so I’m guilty of watching another anime, episode after episode.

This one doesn’t start out so well, though. It only starts to build after the first 10 episodes. But after that, it really draws you in. Beware though, it is quite tragic. There are hints of *Cowboy Bebop* with some of the music. Much of the fighting is quite fictional as well, but the themes and symbolism found in it are quite developed yet subtle at times. It really touches on humanity and how we all lead messed up lives, yet we still go on, trying our best to hold up to those ideals which we’ve bound ourselves to. The ending was interesting, I guess. Kinda wierd though.

STi

I saw the STi for the first time on Sunday. Blue/Gold wheels. Looked really nice. The hood scoop is huge though. It was actually in my apartment complex. Too bad the owner was just a visitor…
