Ramble
I went to my first day, or rather 2 hours of work today. Shelving books is so boring.

Wayne lifted 25lbs more than his own weight and I got dubs plus 5. Whoohoo!
Alright…nuff of that. Guitar is taking shape as I’ve learned a few more strumming patterns from Corinna — the double strum and the intro to Tradin’ My Sorrows. A few more years and I’ll be a pro…
So I will be heading home for the break next week. That’ll be good for the stomach I suppose. Plus not having work to do should be a good thing. O lucky me.
I’m just blowing by these episodes. What’ll I do when I don’t have any more Friends to watch?
Oh, Wayne sent me this link about code of conduct for males. I think you’ll like it.
And, tomorrow (err today?) is the big day. Let’s see how macho we can lift.
Boi, getting old kinda sucks. You think back and look at the histories you had — the people you knew, and how some of those friendships ended while some are still going. You see that a lot of them are in the past because of time, distance, or other reasons. Then you look at the new ones you developed. Kinda makes you sad to see how so many of them have ended.
It’s kinda like after I read The Lord of the Rings. You think back over the characters that you’ve known and the ones that have been left behind or killed off. Especially when Frodo has to leave Sam to go to the Grey Havens. I feel like Sam sometimes. Like I’m left in the past.
Same thing goes with Friends — seeing all of their past relationships that did not work out and the people that were left behind. Maybe all of this was triggered b/c of the episode where Emily leaves an answering machine message telling Ross she’s having second thoughts about the wedding that’s gonna happen the next day. I think if he wasn’t stupid and said “Rachel” things would’ve worked out.
We’ll leave it at that.
Why do guests who appear on friends always get killed off in the most unrealistic ways?
Ross just dumps Julie after several amazing months just because Rachel tells him she has feelings for him.
Rachel’s boss gets hit by a truck and dies.
Emily becomes unreasonable and dumps Ross…

<big hearty chuckle> I think I’m getting too into the show.
